Creating a Digital Archive of Historic Pictures
for Incarnation Catholic Church in Glendale, CA

March 7, 2004 - 2.5 hours - 3 people
Starting the project:
- meeting with the pastor, Fr. Paul Hruby
- obtaining photos from the church
- transfering previously scanned photos via a thumb drive
- sorting through inventory
- organizing inventory

April 3, 2004 - 3.5 hours - 8 people
Scouts from the troop bring their equipment to church to do a mass scanning of old pictures:
- scanning thousands of pictures
- cropping
- putting them into catagories
- burning CD's
Ongoing - 18 hours - 4 people
- Scouts volunteer to take pictures home to scan and burn CD copies on their family equipment.
- Church webmaster transfers digital copies of pictures of the parish for the last 5 years.
- Final assembly of pictures
- Burning of CD sets
- Distribution of copies to:
- The pastor of Incarnation Church
- The church library
- Incarnation School
- The Archdiocese of Los Angeles Archives
- City of Glendale Library
- Glendale Historical Society
