We Examine Media and
Art at the Getty Center
Getty Early Arrivals    
 The Getty Center is a much-awaited Mass Comm 101 field trip. MC101s are encouraged to roam all around this world class facility to complete an assignment that ties together much of what has been taught in the course to this point.

Here are some of our early arrivals. We eventually drew 67 MC101s and guests.

Getting to the Getty is part of the fun. We start by going up the tram.

Today's field trip seemed particularly festive, perhaps because it was the last one of the semester.

It was a nice day to relax, do the assignment, and enjoy the art.
Getty Gardens
Some MC101s found their way to the Getty Gardens. Many MC101s were drawn outdoors by the unseasonably warm weather.

It was a perfect afternoon to hang out with friends while doing a fun but illuminating assignment.
Sunset at Getty
We began to head for the exits between 4:30 and 5 p.m.. Some stayed later to see the sun set over the Pacific Ocean. We got home--eventually--after another fine day of MC101 field trips.
